Our Staff

Our audiologist, Hish Husein, is a Doctor of Audiology in our Auburn Hearing Centers in Waterloo and Cambridge, Ontario. He is also the audiologist and owner of Mountain Hearing Center and Westmount Hearing Center in Hamilton, Ontario.

He has earned a Masters Degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders (specializing in Audiology) from the University of Western Ontario (UWO), in London, Ontario, Canada. He earned his Au.D. (Doctor of Audiology) from Nova Southeastern University in Florida, USA.

He has also worked for Hearing Instrument Manufacturers Siemens and Unitron. Past experiences include both Hospital and Private Practice.  He supervises and mentors professionals and students in the field of Audiology and hearing aid amplfication.

Sarah is our chief audiologist at our Auburn and Mountain Hearing Centres.  Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Dalhousie University and a Masters of Clinic Science (specializing in Audiology) at the University of Western Ontario.  Following this, Sarah continued her training and completed a Fellowship Program at a outpatient hospital  in Seattle, Washington. 

Sarah has over 10 years of extensive clinical experience, specializing in diagnostic assessment, hearing aid fitting and FM system technology.  Sarah has provided mentorship and clinical supervision to Doctor of Audiology students at the University of Washington.  Sarah is a member of the Washington Society of Audiology and the Amercian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists.  She is also licensed and certified to practice Audiology in Ontario and Washington State. 

Bas Husein, BSc (Engineering), MASME, HID, is our Hearing Instrument Dispenser and a retired Engineer.  He fits and adjusts all hearing instruments and makes minor repairs in our Westmount Hearing Clinic in Hamilton, Ontario.

Amber Leis has over 6 years experience working in the healthcare field. She has obtained a diploma in Medical Office Administration and is currently working toward her Hearing Instrument Specialist designation.

Amber manages all financial accounting, booking and record management, and provides hearing-instrument support for our Waterloo office.  Amber oversees advertisement, promotions and open houses for all of our clinics throughout the region.  She is also our lead Human Resource Coordinator. 

Laura is our Office Manager for our Mountain Hearing Clinic in Hamilton, Ontario.  Laura has over 17 years experience in the hearing industry.  She has completed all training provided by the National Institute for Hearing Instruments Studies.  Laura manages accounting and booking for our Mountain Hearing Clinic  and provides Hearing Instrument support. 

Tanya is the office manager for our Cambridge location and she has obtained her diploma in Medical Office Administration. Tanya manages all accounting for the office and is also responsible for booking appointments for patients.  Tanya is currently working toward her Hearing Instrument specialist Designation.

Libby is our receptionist for our Mountain Hearing Center in Hamilton.  Libby has been in the hearing industry for over 8 years.  She manages all booking appointments and provides general patient management for one of our Hamilton locations. 

Laura Vachon is our Office Assistant at our Westmount Hearing Center in Hamilton, Ontario. She manages all account and booking information and provides office information to our clients.
